Accelerator Engagement Ambassadors Initiative (IUPAP WG14)

Accelerator Engagement Ambassadors Initiative

The Accelerator Engagement Ambassadors Initiative invites passionate early- and mid-career researchers to help bring the world of particle accelerators closer to society. Led by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) Working Group 14 Accelerators for Science and Society, this program empowers up to five volunteer ambassadors to design and deliver creative public-facing activities that highlight the impact of accelerator science.

Ambassadors will receive training, skill-development opportunities, networking support, and seed funding to develop their own outreach resources, whether through talks, videos, written stories, podcasts, or new ideas entirely of their own. Their contributions will explore one or more of the initiative’s key themes: Accelerators for Sustainability, Accelerators for Health, Accelerators of the Future, and Accelerators for Peace, all connected through the overarching message, Particle Accelerators: Transforming Science and Society.

This initiative seeks diverse voices from across the accelerator community who are eager to engage, inspire, and communicate. By working together, the ambassadors and Working Group 14 aim to build a shared narrative that showcases how accelerator technologies shape research, innovation, and everyday life.
